MIKE ROACH’S SOPWITH AVIATION COMPANY

Sopwith Tabloid Prototype

This is the final incarnation of the very first Tabloid model, albeit only the rear fuselage is original!  Hawker took the Prototype to Australia for a sales tour and on his return had the wings replaced in this "proto-Camel" arrangement, and the rear fuselage left uncovered "to improve looping".  The model flies, but tends to wander around rather unnervingly! Currently awaiting a new lower wing panel as a result of a wander into the grass.
